This Fund is dear to my family. Honoring the life and memory of my late husband, the Walter Payton Cancer Fund stands as a beacon of hope for those in their own battle with cancer.
Walter kept his illness private almost until the end. He quietly but doggedly fought to get well. Alas, even with the best care available, he lost his fight. That’s why we must find a cure. Too many still find themselves in this battle. Advances have been made, but more must be done.
I have been so touched to see so many of his fans and other cancer advocates rally around this call for a cure. With the same strength and determination that I witnessed in Walter on the field and in life, the Walter Payton Cancer Fund is seeking a cure.
